Make A List Giveaway

YOU ROCK Scrabble Note Card

Oh, the awesome predictability of my life.

Pretty much, before I do anything, I make a list.

So that is your assignment for today, Service Boot Campers!

Get out a pen and paper and write down the name of every person who has ever paid you a kindness...yes, I mean EVER.

This is the list you will work off of this month.

Teacher Set of Note Cards(6)

Once upon a time, I kept a piece of notebook paper on the wall next to my bed, and each evening, I wrote down names of people who I needed to thank.  Next to their name, I would write down what I wanted to thank them for.  If I had their address, I'd write it in a third column.

Coincidentally, I did this during a time when I was having a hard time finding employment.  It helped me to stay positive and to remember that I had many people around me who loved and supported me.  At the time, I wasn't aware of how much this would help me to get through a very trying period, but looking back, I realize that this attitude of gratitude was very therapeutic and a great strength to me personally.

  2. Started my list today and wrote a thank you to our Bishop. In Seminary today we studied Section 72, which talks about the duties of a Bishop. So that one was easy!!

  3. My hydrangea and lilac cards are some of my favorites since they're my favorite flowers, but my number one favorite card HAS to be the "Call Home" one with the Fisher-Price telephone. I have a few children I would like to send that one to! :)

  8. If forced to choose a favorite card, I think the blue hydrangeas would win, but the lilac, dandelion, and yellow finch ones bring in an on-the-heels second.

  13. I swear...we are always on the same wave length! Our family's 'theme' for 2011 is "An Attitude of Gratitude", and one thing we are doing throughout the year is writing 'thank you's' to people around us. I think starting a 'Thank You' list will help us out tremendously! Thanks for always having/sharing your awesome ideas!
