Win a Thanksgiving Party (on a Poster)

Thanksgiving Party on a Poster-POP

I hope that you had an awesome weekend, because I sure did!
I went to the temple, met up with some friends for lunch in DC, ate really good food, had fun chatting during the drive, and ended it with a great day at church today.
(I have absolutely no pictures for proof.  You'll just have to trust that that all happened!)

Today, I have a giveaway for all of my true & faithful readers!

Kimberly over at Activity Banners is offering one of these Thanksgiving activity posters to the winner of this giveaway.

If you win, you will receive your choice of either
a personalized Tree of Gratitude
or the
Thanksgiving Party on a Poster
by Activity Banners
to use this Thanksgiving season.

Here's how to enter:

1.  Leave me a comment telling me the ONE THING that you are most thankful for THIS YEAR.  (Dig deep, here!  Think about it before you answer.)

2. Follow my blog

3.  Visit the Activity Banner shop & link to them on Facebook

4.  BONUS:  Ask me any question or tell me what you're interested in seeing/reading more of on my blog in the future.

I'll choose the winner on Friday...and hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with a working camera.

  1. Something that I always enjoy reading on your site is how you tie the gospel in to everything you teach your children. I love the activities you've shown and I loved the Celebrate Family's month in September.

I guess the one thing I would like to see more is family home evening ideas for little children. I am always looking for help!

  3. There are so many things that I have been thankful for this year it is kind of hard to pick just one. The gift of the spirit in my life and the power of prayer are what I have relied on this year, more so than I ever remember. Now that I am a mother of two I always am looking for guidance and direction as to how I can teach and help them grow in the gospel.

Another thing I am thankful for, just because I really am feeling thankful right now, is my name, Joy. Yesterday in our Relief Society lesson we talked about our journey to the Celestial Kingdom. Our teacher then said that we need to have "joy" in our journey. At that moment when she said we need to have "joy" the spirit exploded in my chest.

I have always felt that I need to live up to my name and at times I know I can do better. I am very thankful that I have a daily reminder, through my name, that I need to have "joy" in my journey home.

I have been wanting to do a Tree of Gratitude this year and this one is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for hosting this great giveaway!

  4. This year I am thankful that my husband lost his job... you may think I"m crazy. But he was unhappy there but never would have left on his own because of convenience. He found a new job right away that he loves so much more!

  6. I would love for you to share more activities you do with your family to celebrate each holiday. I LOVE family traditions and creating new ones and getting GREAT new Christ-centered ideas for traditions with my family, so the more you share the better and the more craft/kid activities the better! ;o)

  7. This year I am most thankful for my Heavenly Father's direction He gives me in life. We have had a tough year and I have spent countless hours on my knees in prayer to Him. He not only has provided amazing direction to me, but He has brought me intense comfort as we have struggled through this year and struggled with knowing what direction our family should take and what steps we need to take. I am grateful for the opportunity I have to pray to Him and to teach my children the importance of prayer and the importance of relying on our Heavenly Father for being a constant in our lives. It is so easy to go through trials and forget our Heavenly Father and to forget all that our Savior Jesus Christ has given us and so I am just so grateful this year for remembering to rely on Him and to be blessed with His direction and comforting, guiding Spirit.

  8. I am grateful for something this year that I have not been thankful for in years past. We have dealt with fertility issues and treatments for roughly six years now, with none of our treatments being successful. After much testing and consultation, our final option is IVF, which is wildly out of our budget at this time. I have finally come to a place in my life where I am grateful for the experience of the last 6 years. I can honestly say that, while I wish we had a house full of little ones, I am grateful that the Lord's vision is greater then ours. Our necessary refining could not have come any other way. I am profoundly grateful for His plan this Thanksgiving.

  12. That poster is super cute!!! I think it would be a lot of fun for a family gather on Macy's Parade Day. :) Oh and Thanksgiving, too. *GRINS*

I'm doing a month of gratitude over on my blog as well. It's been very rewarding for the past 8 days. I'm glad I am not alone!

Today, I'm thankful for reaching the halfway point in my NaNoWriMo. 25k words in a week was a LOT! All while blogging as well. Yikes! Talk about something to be thankful for!

  20. I'm still missing the family celebration, so I think I'd like to see more "yay family" stuff. Maybe just reminders of the awesome conference talks about it. I've found so many talks I love but forgot about from reading here. More is always good;)

  21. Sheesh...the ONE thing?!?! I think that might just be impossible. But since you narrowed it down to this year...I think I'm going to have to go with personal revelation. I got a huge clarification on a personal issue back in June and the subsequent clarifications (sorry to be so foggy, but it's still a bit to personal to share completely) that have come because of that have made me so much happier. The first instance in June led me to specific scriptures and more promptings and impressions that have helped me in overcoming a major challenge. The personal revelation I've received this year is PRICELESS:)
Thanks for making me think deeper:)

  22. I love the Tree of Gratitude, and I already follow your blog. What I'm most grateful for is my testimony that the Lord has a plan for every one of His children and for the experience that have taught me to trust in that plan...as well as in His timing.

It's hard for me to share suggestions for your blog because you already do a great job of picking subject matter. I've liked your Mr. Linky activities, though, and hope you will do more of these.

    =)
