The Philadelphia Temple

Am I excited about the announcement of the first ever temple to be built in Pennsylvania??? You betcha! This temple, which is to be built in Philadelphia, PA will also be a high-rise temple, one of only three that the church has built. The high-rise temples are reserved for urban surroundings, so that the design fits in with other building around it and allows it to fit into the small lots available in city spaces. The other high-rise temples are in Hong Kong (beautiful) and Manhattan, New York. Here is a view of the area where our new temple will be built. I think it's interesting that it is in such an urban setting and that it is located across the street from the Philadelphia Inquirer as well as the Philadelphia School District HQ.

  2. Isn't it awesome how temples just look like they belong, even if its in the middle of the city? I am anxiously awaiting the Kansas City Temple, myself.

  4. That's a really cool experience you had helping your friend out when she got pulled over! I love those special experiences that are so small but strengthen my testimony so much!
