the Atonement Covers what We Can't Fix

It's funny that my blog's title and theme is 2 Nephi 25:26, a verse that says, "We talk of Christ...that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." And here I am so frustrated with the decisions of my son when the answer is and has ever been before me.

I can only stay the path that I chose long ago, and that path is to talk and teach of Christ in my home, so my children know where to turn for a remission of sins when they need and want that help.

I am grateful for this promise and guidance and I think it will increase the peace for me as I learn to trust Him more, even as I continue to do all that I can for my kids.

Also, I'm so grateful right now for priesthood blessings. I received one in January and my husband said I'd be able to realize my goals and find success. So far I have been able to do that and see success in working out consistently.

The other day I saw this quote from Pres. Nelson about making time for scripture study the priority.

"Time for scriptures study requires a schedule that will be honored. Otherwise, blessings that matter most will be at the mercy of things that matter least..."

I want to make sure my righteous goals have a space and time in this new quarantine world, so I will be working on this and taking his advice.

I realize my success in working out has been largely due to having my workouts decided for me. I don't have to come up with a new work out every day. It's just there on my phone. I am going to see how I can replicate this for myself in the area of scripture study, so that doing it can be more automatic and more consistent during this time when things are out of the regular routine!

What are you doing to improve yourself during quarantine and tweek things in your life?

Whatever it is I'm sure the Lord is blessing all of your efforts!

  1. Have you looked at Inklings a Hint of Something More or Work+Wonder on Instagram. Those two combined with Come, Follow Me have really helped give me a schedule for my scripture study to make it more automatic. Love you friend!
