I had a Facebook friend mention the show and they did associate it with Mormons. I told them they did not belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Someone responded "Eva they read from the Book of Mormon". I responded yes but just because a person reads from the Bible doesn't make them Catholic they could be and listed various other relegions that read from the Bible. I don't know if that helped but yes people are still confused about it and this does not help.Evamariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13828904058680812620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9047346872529008758.post-18236379460441930522010-10-04T00:43:23.966-04:002010-10-04T00:43:23.966-04:00I don't have tv, but got to see about 15 min o...I don't have tv, but got to see about 15 min of the show at my daughters. They don't say they are Mormons, but the fact that it is Utah and polygamy is probably enough to cause confusion.

I find reality shows to be a peek into lives I wish not to see. But the public will watch anything.

The husband in the show got into polygamy by dating a young woman who was raised by a polygamist family, and he converted to that life and religion. That would be a nightmare to have your son dating a girl with that upbringing!deila taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06814109921379333571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9047346872529008758.post-23752820584432413632010-10-03T17:29:57.710-04:002010-10-03T17:29:57.710-04:00Kudos on the article, Jocelyn. I wonder if I could pitch the network a show about a woman trying to figure out canning and food storage?Good Musehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14492385721476284300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9047346872529008758.post-76557507291169819002010-10-03T11:26:24.316-04:002010-10-03T11:26:24.316-04:00I, like Heather, also live by these people and see...I, like Heather, also live by these people and see them a lot. It is sad that our church is still being associated with them. And it is just plain sad to see them. In our ward alone I know 2 people have gotten out of it because it is horrible. Great job on the article though!Kendrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05885458128342257523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9047346872529008758.post-43749145202955344292010-10-03T11:04:37.987-04:002010-10-03T11:04:37.987-04:00Interesting. Without saying too much I just have to say that they make me sad. There are so many things about the way of life they have chosen that make me sad. From parents who are very non-compliant with children's healthcare regimen to 12 year olds who are forced to drop out of school to get married (sometimes to relatives) to the women who are always subservient. (Not all of them are like that. Some are very nice and reasonable, but there is enough of that going on to be disturbing.) It makes me frustrated that anyone would associate that with the Gospel that we enjoy and the organization that we are a apart of.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14103947667892576934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9047346872529008758.post-20484120773094796722010-10-03T10:06:59.298-04:002010-10-03T10:06:59.298-04:00well good opportunity to tell the world of the chu...well good opportunity to tell the world of the church's values.Great Grandma Linhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11791149428495689835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9047346872529008758.post-13938670748295079482010-10-03T09:02:46.280-04:002010-10-03T09:02:46.280-04:00I've seen the show's ads on it but this ty...I've seen the show's ads on it but this type of show is so off the wall that for me its not worth my time.
