Fall Family Pictures

Have you guys ever tried to take your own family photo?  It isn't easy.  But the other weekend after church, I set up my tripod and snapped a few pictures using my timer.  This one was about as good as I could get.  Scarlett isn't smiling because she's in between pulling crazy faces.  This is the only one that's halfway decent.  Do you think it'll do for a Christmas card this year???

The other ones I took that day look something like this:

...and this.

Oh, Merry Christmas.  I love my crazy kids!

  1. I finally broke down a couple of years ago and got a remote for my camera. It was only $30 and so worth it! Seriously we are done taking family pictures within a couple of minutes.

  2. I think it turned out cute! And you know the outtakes are really always the best anyways. Those are the ones that really capture who everyone is!

  3. In the end, the best family photos, the ones that produce the most smiles and happy memories, are the crazy ones. The ones where the baby is screaming. The ones where the kid who is front and center is wearing shorts...and one white sock and one blue sock. There are stories behind those photos and they're worth telling.

  4. I think it looks pretty good. No ones crying so that counts, right?!

  5. It's possible with photoshop to take a face from one photo and trade it...but they are fine just like they are...

  7. If it doesn't look like real life then it's not worth it lol. Example: just got extended family pics done where my 4 year old wouldn't wear shoes.;)
