Heavenly Help

This was the view of the evening sky from my front porch the other night.

It reminds me of a saying that my great-grandma often said, and that my mother often repeated to me:  "Red in the morning, sailor's warning. Red at night, sailor's delight."

I'm not sure if "red in the clouds" fits that phrase, but I do hope so, because I am hoping that the Lord will help me enter a new day in my life as I am finally asking him to help me with some things that I am struggling with personally.  I know that he is able to help me.  I believe that he wants to help me.  I just pray that I will be strong enough to accept his help.

  2. It's hard enough to ask sometimes and even harder to accept the help. I believe you are up for the challenge:)

  4. As far as I'm concerned, "red in the clouds" definitely fits that phrase, because I've always heard "Red SKIES in the morning, sailors warning. Red skies at night, sailor's delight."

    =)

PS. Amazing photo, and I wish you much love felt and comfort received as you look inward and take care of business. We all have to do that now and then.

  7. I love that last phrase- strong enough to accept His help. What great perspective. The help is always available to us, but it takes growth on our parts to be able to accept that help and to change. Thanks for sharing!

  8. I have been wrestling with some of my own weaknesses. During the Sacrament, I was reminded of Elder Bednar's talk, Pray Always, from a couple of years ago (http://lds.org/general-conference/2008/10/pray-always?lang=eng&query=bednar). I love the clear steps he gives on how to incorporate prayer and change. So this is what I'm trying to do.

    Good luck, my friend!

  9. I'm with you on this, thank you for encouraging me to do so (even though I know it was meant for you personally, it resonates with me perfectly right now).
